These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Create Invoice UK ("the Service"), operated by Create Invoice UK ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Your use of the Service confirms your acceptance of these Terms. Any additional or conflicting terms proposed by you will not apply unless we explicitly agree in writing.

2. Changes to Terms or the Service

We may update these Terms or modify the Service at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of those updates.

3. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes.

You agree not to:

Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or overload the Service,
Use the Service in ways that are illegal, harmful, or infringe third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations, at our discretion. You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and agree to indemnify us against any resulting claims or damages. Feedback you provide may be used by us to improve our services without restriction.

Processing: We process Your Data solely to provide the Service.

7. Termination

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of these Terms or suspected misuse.
By You: You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion.
Post-Termination: We may delete your account and Your Data after termination. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period.

8. Service Availability

Availability: We aim to provide reliable, continuous service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
SLA: No paid service level agreement applies to the free Service unless we agree one with you in writing.
Disclaimer: The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Dispute Resolution: We encourage resolving disputes informally. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Free Tools and Tax Information

This section applies to the free tools on our website, including the HMRC exchange rate converter at createinvoice.uk/hmrc-exchange-rates (the "Tools").

Not advice: The Tools provide general information and calculations. They are not tax, accounting or legal advice and do not take your circumstances into account. You are responsible for deciding which rate, date and tax treatment apply to your transactions, and for checking any figure before you rely on it, for example in a VAT return, invoice or customs declaration.
Source data: The exchange rate converter uses the monthly exchange rates published by HM Revenue & Customs. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by HMRC. HMRC may publish, change or withdraw rates at any time, and the Tools may not reflect a change immediately. Each result shows when the rate was last checked against HMRC's file and links to that file. If a result differs from HMRC's published rates, HMRC's published rates prevail.
No guarantee: We take reasonable care to keep the Tools accurate and available, but they are provided "as is", and we do not guarantee that they are error-free, complete or up to date.
Liability: Section 9 applies to the Tools. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for tax, interest, penalties or other losses that arise from relying on a result without checking it against HMRC's published rates.
Data you enter: Amounts you enter into the exchange rate converter are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. Conversions you choose to save are stored only in your browser until you delete them. See our Privacy Policy for details.
